Week 11 Grocery Notes: Cheese and produce were at great prices this week and we managed to snatch up 2 cabbages, 8 tomatoes, cantaloupe, strawberries, mushrooms, tortillas, extra virgin olive oil, pears, mango, apples, lemons, cukes, french bread (2 loaves), 4 packages of cheese (various types), green & red grapes and lettuce for $36.48. With the remaining $13 we purchased this weeks loss leaders- which happened to be bags of frozen veggies on sale for $1 as well as a gallon of milk.

A few things I’d like to share
: You may have noticed that we didn’t purchase meat this week, that’s because in previous weeks we’ve purchased large packages of meat and re-packed them into appropriate size packages for meals for our family. Buying the meat in bulk when we find good deals allows us to take advantage of weekly loss leader sales at our favorite stores.
