2013 $50 Weekly Menu Plan Week #23: Summer is in full swing, school is out (well, for our kids anyway!) and it’s already scorching hot here in the SouthEastern part of the states. This weeks menu is about getting OUT of the kitchen!
We’ll be taking advantage of the great grilling weather instead. This week we picked up the following: bread, pine nuts, vanilla yogurt, lettuce, bell peppers, ramen (at the request of the kids), cantaloupe, blueberries, strawberries, and a fresh pineapple, total spent $23.93
From our small garden we harvested: Fresh radishes, tomatoes, jalapenos, Zucchini, Summer Squash, cucumbers, fresh beets
MondayJune 3rd:
- Breakfast:Strawberry Burst Refrigerator Oatmeal
- Lunch: Breakfast Pizza (hey what can I say, the kids like to cook!)
- Dinner:Baked LaSketti, Garlic Bread, Salad
Tuesday June 4th
- Breakfast: Raspberry Cream French Toast Fingers
- Lunch: Leftover LaSketti
- Dinner: Italian Dijon Pepper Steak, Grilled Potatoes & Onions, Beets
Wednesday June 5th:
- Breakfast:Banana Almond Refrigerator Oatmeal
- Lunch: Fresh Cucumber Sandwiches
- Dinner:Enchiladas, Spanish rice, grilled veggies (zucchini/summer squash/onions)
Thursday June 6th:
- Breakfast:Easy Drop Danish
- Lunch: Shrimp Pasta Salad
- Dinner:Pesto Chicken Kebabs, Salad
Friday June 7th:
- Breakfast:Melon Wedges
- Lunch: Dilled Egg Salad wraps
- Dinner: Potluck Gathering with Friends-bringing dessert & armadillo eggs
Saturday June 8th:
- Breakfast:Chocolate Banana Refrigerator Oatmeal
- Lunch: Leftover Enchiladas
- Dinner:Grilled Lemon Pepper Pork Chops, Grilled Sweet Potato Fries, Salad
Sunday June 9th:
- Breakfast:Overnight Blueberry French Toast Bake
- Lunch:Bowl of Happiness(using leftover meat)
- Dinner:Catfish Nuggets, Garlic Smashed Potatoes, Salad, marinated zucchini bites
Various Snacks:
- Fresh Fruit– (leftover) Apples, Home-Canned Peaches, blueberries, mango, strawberries, pineapple
- Cinnamon Bun Rice Krispy treats
- Healthy Zucchini Brownies
- Strawberry Cheesecake Dip
- Fried Ice Cream
Drinks Available:A note about our drink offerings, while we do always have coffee and tea in the house, coffee is usually with breakfast, hot tea is usually in the evening and for the most part our other drinks consist of Water. We don’t “drink milk” at all, it is usually used in making homemade yogurt, or in cereals, baking, etc.* Iced Tea (Unsweetened or Sweet Tea)

It has been brought to our attention that a few folks who are just joining us are getting the wrong impression that we purchase EVERYTHING at once for each weeks menu plan. This is not the case at all, nor do we recommend it.
