2013 $50 Weekly Menu Plan Week #52: Wow, we’ve reached the end of our Third Year of sharing our $50 Weekly Menu plans! Check out this weeks Holiday Menu plan as well as the receipt from our shopping trip, you’ll notice we don’t use coupons . . .
In the past we’ve been asked why we don’t post our receipts, quite frankly, it’s because I just don’t have time to sit and scan them, lay out all of the groceries rather than putting them away immediately, etc, but I thought I’d end the year with our receipt and a photo of the groceries we purchased. Keep in mind that eggs are not included because we raise our own chickens.

From the Farmers Market & Store: Orange Juice, Artisan Lettuce, Cashews, Apples, Fresh Pineapple Spears, Brussel Sprouts, Green peppers, Avocadoes, Carrots, Several Packages Fresh Spinach, Cinnamon Raisin Bread, Bananas, Blueberries, seedless cucumber, cauliflower, Cheddar Cheese, Cookie Kit (Bought it for the cookie cutter, which is $2 more at the craft shop) Total Spent $50.00 even

From our Backyard: Fresh Eggs, the warm spell we had helped get the girls going again!

Breakfast Options for this week: Oranges, Grapefruits (from the school Fundraiser a couple weeks ago!) Bananas, We’re really not all that elaborate on breakfast. Most of the household prefers coffee & toast, even our teens, who frequently just grab a piece of fresh fruit to eat mid-morning.
