• Catfish Nuggets

Catifsh Nuggets Catfish is a wonderfully light, flaky fish when cooked properly. The key to delicious Fresh Catfish is to fillet them out (which removes the meat from the skin).

1- 2lbs fresh Catfish Fillets, cut into large chunks
      1/3 c. Yellow Cornmeal
      1/3 c. Flour
      1/3 c. Italian Bread Crumbs
      1 tsp garlic salt
      1/4
      tsp Ground Black Pepper
      3 eggs

Raw Catfish Nuggets Catfish in Egg Dredge in Flour

In a small shallow bowl beat 3 eggs, set aside. In another bowl or ziploc bag combine the cornmeal, flour, bread crumbs, salt & pepper. Mix well to combine. Soak the catfish nuggets in egg to coat and then dredge in the breading mixture.

Fry in hot oil until lightly browned on each side. Serve with Tartar sauce if desired.

Fresh Fish is relatively easy to acquire cheaply if you happen to live within 15 miles of a lake.
