    • Heath Bar Crunch Ice Cream

      Give your tastebuds the tantalizing creamy goodness and candy crunch of easy homemade English toffee ice cream infused with delicious Heath toffee candy pieces for a perfect summertime treat.

      2 Eggs
      1/2 c. Sugar
      1 c. milk
      2 c. Half & Half
      8 oz Heath Bar Pieces (or 2 candy bars of any kind -Snickers,
      Reeses, Hershey, etc chopped into small pieces!)


      In a small saucepan, combine eggs and sugar, whisking constantly over medium heat until the mixture reaches EXACTLY 160 F on a digital thermometer. Remove from heat Immediately. Pour mixture into a bowl resting on ice to cool rapidly.

      In a large mixing bowl combine 1 c. half & half and cooled egg/sugar mix, stirring until well blended, add remaining half & half & milk. Pour into ice cream maker and process according to manufacturers directions. During the last 15 minute of processing add 1 c. finely chopped Heath Bar

      Spoon into 4 c. Bowl, Cover & place in freezer.

      This recipe is very rich, very smooth and creamy and makes a lovely soft set ice cream.
