FYI:
Other items we picked up this week included 1 whole tomato, cucumber, store brand cool whip, grapes (great deal at only .99 lb), Milk, hard cheese, 2 cans of tuna, and dh found some amazing deals on some frozen foods this week at walmart. They had Texas Garlic toast for .19 a box, shrimp scampi for .87 a package, (normally $8.77!), Some fish sticks for under $1 a box and several other frozen oddities. He picked up enough for 18 meals for the entire family for less than $10 in all.

While we strive to maintain a $50 weekly budget, overall our goal is to remain under $250 a month. If we can find great deals early in the year that will apply to weeks later on, we’ll definitely take advantage of those deals and stock up. This is the key to staying within such a limited budget, knowing when to spend, when to save, and when to wait for a better deal.

March is a wonderful month for stocking up on Corned beef, frozen veggies & fruits/berries, and more. Check out our March Sales Guide for more details
