12 minute grilled potatoes We love grilled potatoes, they slight crisp edges they develop over the low flame on the grill- but alas, who has 40 minutes or so to wait after a long day at work?? Here is our 12 minutes to table version of grilled taters . .
      You'll need:

      4- Large Potatoes
1 small tinfoil pan (or you can use just
aluminum foil wrapped in a packet) or even a loaf pan if you'd like
steamer bag or a steamer pan
      seasonings of your choice
      1-2 Tablespoons olive oil

First, scrub the potatoes, don't waste your time peeling them, it's not necessary! Cut them into bite sized chunks and dump them into a steamer bag or an orka steamer pan. The steamer bags are great- they work well, but I hate the price of them. We love to steam our veggies with various seasonings and like the convenience of the steamer pans, of which we now have 3.

Add 1 Tbs water and the seasonings of your choice. In the batch above we used our Sweet Potato Fries Seasoning blend, which we already have pre-measured in the pantry.

Seal the bag and shake gently to coat all pieces. If using the steamer pan instead, use a spoon to stir/coat the pieces. Cook in the Microwave for 5 minutes.

Remove from the Microwave, dump into a tinfoil pan or a loaf pan, sprinkle generously with olive oil, fold gently to coat the potatoes, place on HOT grill for 5 minutes to brown.

You can use just about anything for seasonings, here are few of our favorites:
      • 2 tsp minced garlic & half diced onion (or)
      • 1 Tbs. Dill Weed & 1 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp black cracked pepper (or)
      • 2 tsp rosemary & 1 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp black cracked
        pepper (or)
      • 3/4 tsp Sage leaves, 3/4 tsp paprika, 2 Tablespoons fresh chopped chives, 1/2 tsp salt

The small foil pan pictured here was found in a stack of 10 at the dollar store. So the pan itself was only .10 - great for when you're camping or too busy to scrub pans.
