You’ll Need:
1/4 c. UnSalted Butter, melted
1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
1/2 c. white sugar
1/2 c. sweetened condensed milk
1/2 c. Karo Light Corn Syrup

Combine all in a microwave safe bowl. Stir well until mixture is blended.

Depending on how you prefer your caramels- fairly soft/chewy, cook 6 minutes, stirring after 2 minutes and again after 4 minutes.

Or, if you prefer your caramels Firm – Place in Microwave and cook for 7 minutes, stirring twice Only (without removing from microwave, be careful, it will be Boiling!)

Remove from Microwave and pour into a buttered 8″x8″ pan, if you want them salted with sea salt, lightly salt them now, then place in the fridge for 10 minutes. Remove from Fridge and invert on a piece of parchment or wax paper. Or cut them while they are in the pan.

It helps to butter the knife or cutter (a pizza cutter works great too!)

As I mentioned, if you want Soft Caramels that don’t hold their shape very well, cook them for exactly 6 minutes.

If you want Firm Caramels that hold their shape regardless than cook them for exactly 7 minutes.
