I came across this recipe years ago and have adapted it several times to fit our budget and family's tastes.

In a medium bowl combine the following:

2 C. Flour
1/2 tsp Salt
3 Tsp. Baking Powder
1/2 C. Sugar

Mix well, then add the following:

1 or 2 eggs,
1/4 c. Melted butter
1 c. Milk
1/2 tsp of nutmeg
Chopped Nuts (if you like, I use 1/4 c. chopped walnuts)

Spoon into greased muffin tins, sprinkle the tops lightly with cinnamon & sugar. Bake at 425 for 12-15 minutes, or until nicely risen and tops are brown.
