Week #34 Grocery Notes: This week was a “restock” the pantry week. We picked up several boxes of pasta, a couple spices, some canned tomatoes (as my home-canned tomato stash has run dry!), steaks, bread, milk, salad veggies, plums, berries, butter and cheese. Total expense for groceries this week was $48.46
Next week I’ll pick up a 50# box of tomatoes from the farmers market for around $10 and can them. I’ve also started another tomato plant in the house so we’ll have fresh tomatoes for salads and munching throughout the winter.

A few things I’d like to share: Every few weeks I make a few batches of waffles and french toast & place them in the freezer so the kids can pop them into the toaster in the morning for a quick, hot breakfast.
