2012 $50 Weekly Menu Week #10-A few weeks ago we mentioned that great deals on certain cuts of meats are generally available towards the end of February, well, this past weekend one of our favorite local stores sold T-bone steaks for $3.99 a pound. We picked up a few packs (about 20 pounds in all) to vacuum seal and freeze for later. March is National Frozen food month, so if you’ve been waiting for a chance to restock your freezer with frozen veggies, the time has arrived. In addition to meat, we took advantage of the great produce prices and grabbed some artisans lettuce, carrots, peppers, dried navy beans, milk, ricotta cheese, granny smith apples, cream cheese, cauliflower, spinach and a whole chicken.
