2012 $50 Weekly Menu Week #19: It’s amazing the deals that can be found on fresh veggies late spring- this week Aldi’s had some fantastic deals including Bags of Salad greens for .49, Cucumbers for .29, a bag of 3 multicolored peppers for $1.29 and a pound of carrots of .49, avocados for .49, iceburg lettuce for .49 a head, mangoes for .49 each, as well as few other deals on cantaloupe and strawberries. In addition to all of the vegetables, fresh mango and avocado we picked up coffee, concentrated lemon juice, sugar, flour and baking powder.
This weeks grocery expense total came to a whopping $43.18
Monday 7th:
* Breakfast: French Toast, maple syrup
* Lunch: Po’ Girl’ (Grilled Cheese/Tomato Sandwich)
* Dinner: Grilled Salsa Chicken, Salad
Tuesday 8th:
* Breakfast: Cinnamon Raisin toast, oatmeal
* Lunch: Salsa Chicken Wraps (wraps made with leftovers from mondays dinner)
* Dinner: Halibut BLT’s & Steamed Veggies
Wednesday 9th:
* Breakfast: Strawberry Melon summer Salad
* Lunch: Garden Salad with Sliced hard boiled eggs
* Dinner: Spinach Stuffed shells, Salad, Texas Toast
Thursday 10th:
* Breakfast: Blueberry Muffins
* Lunch: Leftover Stuffed Shells
* Dinner: Catfish Nuggets, Copycat KFC Coleslaw, mashed potatoes
Friday 11th:
* Breakfast: Strawberry Melon summer Salad
* Lunch: Veggie Salad w/ Sliced hard boiled eggs, cheese
* Dinner: Italian Dijon Marinated Steak, Fiesta Fries, salad
Saturday 12th:
* Breakfast: Cinnamon Raisin toast, scrambled eggs
* Lunch: Steak Wraps with Sliced Tomatoes (Using leftover steak from previous night)
* Dinner: Boston Baked Beans , Steamed Hot Dogs, Brown Bread
Sunday 13th:
* Breakfast: poached eggs on toast
* Lunch: Southerners Egg Salad
* Dinner: Skillet Mexican Chicken over shredded Romaine Lettuce
Various Snacks:
* Fresh Fruit- Cantaloupe, Mangoes
* Deviled Eggs

FYI:Our own garden is producing cucumbers and fresh tomatoes, summer squash isn’t far behind! For those that are just joining our weekly menus, we do raise our own chickens (for fresh eggs) and get about a dozen per day- So if you’re noticing a large number of eggs in our menu plans, that’s why!
