2012 $50 Weekly Menu Week #23-Having spent last week’s grocery allotment on restocking meat, this weeks entire shopping expense was devoted entirely to fresh fruits, veggies and pantry items.
This week we purchased lettuce, celery, mushrooms, cabbage, potatoes, broccoli, coffee, flour, a few seasonings, pasta, cantaloupe, strawberries, pineapple, and peppers. Blueberries have come into season and we picked and froze several gallons this week as well. Total spent on groceries $42.76

Monday 4th:

* Breakfast: Maple Almond Scones, Coffee
* Lunch: Leftover Catfish Stew
* Dinner: Cajun Roast Pork, Baked Potatoes, Steamed Broccoli

Tuesday 5th:

* Breakfast: Bagels & Coffee
* Lunch: tomato Salad
* Dinner: Roast Pork Open faced Sandwiches (With gravy), salad

Wednesday 6th:

* Breakfast: Scrambled Eggs or fruit salad
* Lunch: Cucumber Sandwiches
* Dinner: Honey Dijon Grilled Chicken, Dilled Zucchini & Summer Squash, Biscuits

Thursday 7th:

* Breakfast: Toasted Biscuits & Jam
* Lunch: Honey dijon Chicken Wraps
* Dinner: Tacos
Friday 8th:

* Breakfast: Cinnamon Raisin toast, oatmeal
* Lunch: Po’ Girl’ (Grilled Cheese/Tomato Sandwich)
* Dinner: Cowboy Pork chops over BBQ Rice, Salad

Saturday 9th:

* Breakfast: Morning Sunrise
* Lunch: Cucumber Sandwiches
* Dinner: Creamy Pesto Chicken over bowTie Pasta
Sunday 10th:

* Breakfast: Cinnamon Rolls
* Midday Meal: cookout with Friends/Potluck barn-raising party

Various Snacks:

* Fresh Fruit- Mango, Pineapple, Cantaloupe, Blueberries, Blackberries
* Hard Boiled Eggs
* chewy Granola Bars

Drinks Included:

* Iced Tea (Sweet Tea)
* Coffee
* Lemonade
* Copycat Gatorade
* CopyCat Arizona Green Tea

FYI:
Our own garden is producing cucumbers, zuchinni, summer squash and fresh tomatoes! For those that are just joining our weekly menus, we do raise our own chickens (for fresh eggs) and get about a dozen per day- So if you’re noticing a large number of eggs in our menu, that’s why!
