2014 $50 Budget Menu Plan Week #20: As we near Memorial Weekend meat sales are already starting. However, we’re planning on holding out for better sales in another week or two! With those in mind, this week we purchased the following. . . oranges, lemons, limes, red potatoes, shrimp, pork tenderloin, Monterey Jack Cheese, Cheddar Cheese, Rotel Tomatoes, corn tortillas, yeast, flour, mangoes, greek vanilla yogurt, blueberries, strawberries, zucchini, celery, mini bell peppers, fresh green beans
From our Backyard: Fresh Eggs (Getting nearly 3 dozen per day)
From our Windowsill/ Garden: Lettuce, Chives, Scallions, Fresh Herbs (Parsley, Rosemary, dill, oregano, basil), Spinach, beet greens, baby carrots, onions (grown from scraps), green beans, Cucumbers
Total spent this week on groceries $46.66

- Lunch:Pork Wraps with tomato & lettuce (leftover tenderloin)
- Dinner: Halibut Fish Tacos with Orange Salsa
Wednesday May 14th:
- Lunch: Cool Cucumber Soup
- Dinner:Lemon Garlic Shrimp over stir fried veggies (recipe to follow)
Thursday May 15th:
- Lunch: Grilled Zucchini Pizza
- Dinner: Pepper Jack Stuffed Cheeseburger with Jalapeno Cumin Sauce
Friday May 16th:
- Lunch: Po’ Boys (Sandwiches)
- Dinner: American Chop Suey, salad
Saturday May 17th :
- Lunch: Leftover Chop Suey
- Dinner: Italian Chicken Saute,Garlic Toast
Sunday May 18th:
- Midday:Honey Dijon Salmon, Steamed Green Beans with a touch of garlic, grilled potato wedges
