2014 $50 Budget Menu Plan Week #22: Happy Memorial Day! This weeks menu plan is relatively simple for less time in the kitchen and more time for family and friends.
This week we purchased the following: Fresh Strawberries, apples, Raspberries, plain greek yogurt, yeast, Flour (White/Wheat/Pastry), 5 cans of tuna, bell peppers, Vinegar
From our Backyard: Fresh Eggs (Getting nearly 3 dozen per day)
From our Windowsill/ Garden: Lettuce, Chives, Scallions, Fresh Herbs (Cilantro, Parsley, Rosemary, dill, oregano, basil), Spinach, beet greens, baby carrots, onions (grown from scraps), green beans, Cucumbers, zucchini, summer squash, Tomatoes,
Total spent this week on groceries $26.32

- Midday: BBQ Get Together with Friends/Family Bringing Key West Grilled Chicken, strawberry Cheesecake dip

- Lunch: Leftovers from previous days gathering
- Dinner:Burnell Bomb Burgers with Jalapeno Pesto Sauce, potato chips
Wednesday May 28th:
- Lunch: Cool Cucumber Soup
- Dinner: Caribbean Grilled (venison) Steak, Steamed Green Beans, Garlic Smashed Potatoes
Thursday May 29th:
- Lunch: Tuna Salad Wrap & Refrigerator Cucumber Salad
- Dinner: Honey Dijon Marinated Grilled Chicken, Grilled Zucchini,salad
Friday May 30th:
- Lunch: Honey Dijon Chicken wraps (made with leftover chix)
- Dinner:Catfish Nuggets, Poor Woman’s Grilled Taters, Salad ,marinated zucchini bites
Saturday May 31st:
- Lunch: BBQ Chicken, Summer Squash Slaw
- Dinner: Tomato Pie & Grilled Zucchini/Summer Squash
Sunday June 1st:
- Midday: Baked LaSketti, Garlic Bread, Salad
