2015 $75 Budget Menu Plan Week 5: Fresh fruit and veggies galore this week as we find some great deals locally, without coupons- of course!
This week we purchased the following: Grapefruit, cabbage, fresh limes, granny smith apples, avocados, greek yogurt, artisan lettuce, zucchini, cauliflower, red – orange & red bell peppers, green peppers, bananas, kiwi, cucumbers, fresh mushrooms, grape tomatoes, raspberries, mango and blackberries.
Total spent this week on groceries: $36.17
From our Backyard: Fresh Eggs (down to about 12-15 a day)
From our Windowsill/ Garden: a few fresh herbs, cilantro, basil, parsley and rosemary
Breakfast Options for this week:
- Guilt Free Mango Muffins
- Fresh Fruit (Bananas, Grapefruit, Apples)
- Broiled Grapefruit
- Raspberry Muffins
- Eggs-poached, over-easy, hard boiled, scrambled with leftover sauteed veggies & a sprinkle of cheese, etc
- English Muffin Toast
Lunch Options for this week:
- Leftovers (Italian shred, pork roast sandwiches, etc)
- Avocado Slices on Salad
- Deviled Eggs
- Quinoa Salad
- 18 way Egg saladsandwiches or wraps

- Dinner: Italian Shred(over Jasmine Rice or rosemary pepper pasta)

- Dinner: Louisiana Style Cajun Pork Roast,Honey Glazed Carrots, Roasted Potato Wedges, Salad

- Dinner: Chicken Marsala, herbed rice, salad

- Dinner: Cajun Pork Pot Pie (using leftover pork roast)
SaturdayFebruary 7th:
Sunday February 8th:
- Dinner: Cauliflower Snob& Salad
Various Snacks & Desserts:
- Fresh Fruit Choices Available– Apples, Bananas, Grapefruit, Oranges
- Broiled Grapefruit
- Guilt Free Peanut Butter Fudge Swirl Brownies
- Hard Boiled Eggs (Perfect munchie item midday, packs a great protein punch)
Drinks Available: * Iced Tea (Unsweetened or Sweet Tea)
* Coffee
* Hot Chocolate/Cocoa
