2015 $50 Budget Menu Plan Week 18: This weeks menu plan is a meat restocking week! Nothing is more frustrating than reaching into the freezer to realize that the mouthwatering chicken recipe you were about to make.. isn’t going to happen. Now, I can almost hear you saying, “But Wait, Isn’t that why you menu plan to begin with?”
Well, yes, it is. However, when you have kids in college studying for finals with their buds they don’t care about the menu plan posted on the fridge when they scarf down 4 packages of chicken in 2 days flat.

This week we purchased the following: Case of Boneless Skinless Chicken breast, lettuce, green peppers, spinach, radishes, raspberries, cream cheese, mango, cantaloupe, zucchini, cucumbers

Total spent this week on groceries: $102.41

From our Backyard: Fresh Eggs (about 10 a day)

From our Windowsill/ Garden: a few fresh herbs in the windowsill– cilantro, basil, parsley, rosemary, scallions, tomatoes

  • Dinner: Graduation Party Gathering at Neighbors
