My name is Liz and I am excited about finding this site. I have two kids and a husband who I beleive could eat more than an elephant:) I have never planned meals in my life. It is always what I feel like fixing when I get home from work. We have been trying to decide where we can cut expenses because our income is not much.

My husband is a teacher and I am a CNA and where we live in Illinois we are pretty low on the income level. Anyway, we have pretty much cut everything else except groceries. When we started looking at what we purchased biweekly it was horrifying! We spend every two weeks $200-$300!!

On a fixed income this was a blow so I started looking online and found this website. So here I am with my first week of meals planned and a grocery list that is going to cost approximately $60. That includes snacks and muchies!!! WooHoo I am so excited.

I am always looking for ways to save money. I make my own body wash, make our own bread and make my own dishcloths and potholders. If anyone has any other great money saving ideas I would love to hear them.
