My name is Mary and I’m a Canadian transplant from a small town about 100 miles north of Toronto in the Muskoka Lakes area. I left in 1962, making a detour to Santa Monica, Calif for 17 years before moving on to Florida in 1979, and been here ever since.

Now being retired and living on a very limited Social Security income
I have very few funds for groceries, so I am always looking for ways to save for a rainy day, so hope to find a few suggestions and ideas on your forums.

I am also trying to put together a very limited budget collage kid cook book for my granddaughter, leaving home next week to start the collage experience.

I already have a booklet put together of all the expensive seasoning packets purchased from the grocery stores. Its less than half the price to make up your own.

Now I’m putting together another booklet with some cheap meals that she can cook in her dorm room, so I have joined your forum to look over and hopefully find a few more recipes to add to my collection for her.
