For those who have tried video dating on apps, how does it compare to traditional texting or chatting before meeting up? Do you find it helps build a connection faster, or is it more awkward? I’m curious if it’s worth giving it a try.
September 22, 2024 at 7:50 am #23976maybe that’s true, because in correspondence you won’t understand the true mood of the interlocutor, but in video it’s easier to determine
September 22, 2024 at 8:29 am #23977Yeah, I feel the same way now. But like everyone else, I was skeptical about video dating at first. I changed my opinion after using them on SakuraDate. If you haven’t registered on this platform yet, you are missing a lot. This platform is designed for Cross-cultural love with Asian singles. I use video calls on SakuraDate all the time. I find it much easier to understand a person’s personality that way. I’ve found that it takes away the awkwardness of endless text messages, and you can quickly decide if there is a real connection.
December 17, 2024 at 6:09 pm #24473I met a girl on Match by chance. The first message was easy and natural, and the conversation quickly became interesting. We learned a lot about each other, and the communication was always comfortable and pleasant, you can read the reviews on https://match.pissedconsumer.com/review.html Each meeting brought new moments that I wanted to remember.
April 7, 2025 at 9:19 am #25038I’ve tried video dating on a couple of apps, including some casual dating sites, and overall, I’d say it has some clear advantages over just texting or chatting. Seeing someone face-to-face, even through a screen, helps you get a better sense of their personality, energy, and communication style. It cuts through a lot of the guesswork that comes with texting, where tone can be misunderstood. In my experience, video chats helped build a connection faster and made the first in-person meeting feel more natural—like we’d already broken the ice. That said, it can feel a little awkward at first, especially if you’re not used to video calls. But most people seem to warm up quickly. If you’re on the fence, I’d say it’s definitely worth trying at least once. Worst case, it’s a short call. Best case, you find someone you really click with before investing time in a date.
