Hello, my name is Amanda and I live in Columbia, MO! I work part-time, and am also a full time student, and while my husband works FT, we really need to trim our budget. We have really gotten away from pre-cooked meals, but this summer found out that 2 out of our three daughters have wheat-sensitivity (as well as myself!) and one has an egg sensitivity. That has really cranked up our grocery bill!

Thank goodness we don’t have to go gluten free, because just avoiding wheat is hard enough. SO frustrating to pay $5 for a loaf of bread! I am looking to cut down on our groceries, as well as save some time. I barely have the brains to put together a shopping list at this point, and am scrambling for lunch ideas for our girls on top of meal planning!

Have you thought about making your own bread. There are several people in my family that are gluten free and they make their bread to save money. They make quite a bit at once and freeze it so that they don’t have to spend tons of time doing this.
