You would go to your subscriptions box in your User Control Panel

Question I see you add powdered milk and later include instructions for both milk and water, do you add liquid milk as well as the powdered?

No, if you use powdered milk you only add water.

If you use liquid milk you don’t add any powdered milk

Love grits. When I lived in Atlanta my friends made them taste silky/soft not gritty. Any idea how to accomplish this?

yup, just cook them like she mentioned in the first post, but for about 40 minutes, or you can use the overnight grits recipe on the site.

I am new to this. I’ve tried following your recipes, but my bill is double/triple what yours is per week. Where do you shop? Also, when I try to leave a comment on your weekly recipe pages about some of the recipes that I can’t find on the internet, it won’t let me.

How do I ask questions on weekly pages about un-highlighted recipes?

Have you checked these out yet? It answers most of those questions and more…

I just want to clarify that the $50 is on food only? Or does that include other things I would also get while purchasing groceries like toothpaste, soap, paper towels?

Most of the other stuff is homemade, toothpaste we get for free using coupons, deodorant we make ourselves, TP- well, it’s an expense that cant be avoided.

Which is the first week of the 50 dollar menu plan? The first week in the 2012 reveiw has a budget of $0 because of the previous year.

2011 was when we began sharing our $50 menu plan, so far we’ve shared 147 weeks in all. Just type in Week #1 in the search bar to locate the first week.

I have a family of six. I am looking to cut my grocery bill down to $250. Right now we spend $400. I want to know where to start if your fridge is empty.

Start at the very first week of the $50 menu plan that we shared on the site and then read through the menus and see how we started with nothing and added to it and added to it ,etc until the freezers and pantry were full and we could continue to feed our fam for around $50 a week.

Hi SandLapperSue! We’re not too far from you here in the Lugoff/Camden Area of SC. You’ll find the majority of our menus are based of the Aldi prices at the Garners Ferry Rd Location, so you may find them pretty easy to follow. Welcome to the site, I look forward to reading your posts!
