Tender marinated chunks of beef, alternated on skewers with fresh peppers, onions, mushrooms and grilled to perfection!
1 lb Beef- cut into chunks- (if using tougher cuts of meat, marinate 48 hours)
1 1/2 c. marinade (any flavor) Here we used homemade
A1 Steak Sauce
2 Large onions, cut into chunks
1 Large Green Pepper, Cut into Chunks
8-10 small mushrooms, washed, stemmed
Marinate the beef overnight (or for a minimum of 30 minutes!) in your favorite marinade.
Preheat Grill
If using wooden
skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes prior to use. This prevents them from burning on the grill.
Carefully skewer marinated meat chunks, peppers, onions and mushrooms, (alternating) and then repeat. If someone in your house isn't a fan of mushrooms, cherry tomatoes grill wonderfully too!
Place the kebabs on a preheated grill and cook for 4 minutes, roll them, cook another 3-4 minutes, roll them a 3rd time if needed, depending on how thick your meat chunks are and to whether you prefer med-rare or well done. In the last 4 or 5 minutes of cooking, lightly brush a bit of the marinade over the vegetables on the skewers.
