Week #39 Grocery Notes: Welcome to week #39 of our families $50 weekly grocery menu. This week I picked up lettuce, spinach, tomatoes, celery, radishes, plums, and apples from the farmers market at a very decent price of only $13 for all! Using the weekly sales flyersfor our favorite stores, I managed to find great deals on t-bone steaks, pasta, cheese, milk, cottage cheese and french bread. Total spent this week $51.98

Monday 26th:

  • Breakfast:cereal or oatmeal
  • Lunch: Grilled cheese
  • Dinner: Grilled Steak, Salad, grilled steak fries

Tuesday 27th:

Wednesday 28th


Thursday 29th

Friday 30th

  • Breakfast:Scrambled eggs, toasted English muffin w/orange juice jelly
  • Lunch:Cucumber Sandwiches
  • Dinner: Italian Chicken Saute

Saturday1st:

Sunday2nd

  • Breakfast:Cereal or Oatmeal
  • Lunch:Cookout with friends, (bringing Mac Salad)
  • Dinner: “Restaurant Night” – this isn’t actually eating out, instead we use the individual portion size meals that have been vacuum sealed and frozen. See the ebook for details

Various Snacks:

Drinks included: * Iced Tea (Sweet Tea)
* Coffee
* Lemonade
* Copycat Gatorade
* CopyCat Arizona Green Tea

A few things I’d like to share: Don’t forget to take advantage of the sales available throughout September on lunchmeats (which freeze well for later), cold cereals and tomato products (canned tomatoes, tomato soup, etc).
