Week #49 Grocery Notes: As you can see from last weeks budget, we spent the majority of this months $250 maximum budget on meat- which leaves about $20 per week to pick up loss leaders, milk and fresh veggies to accompany the (now) fully stocked freezer. Certain types of cereal are always dirt cheap in December, particularly chex mix. I found multiple boxes of cereal marked down to $1-$1.50 (Cheerios & Chex) and picked up 8 boxes, milk, and cream cheese. Between the local veggie market & Aldis I picked up tomatoes, fresh mushrooms, lettuce, celery, green pepper, Cauliflower, carrots (.59 a pound!), avocados (.49 EACH!) for a total of $12, Grand total for this weeks groceries, $25.65 (About 5 dollars over budget).
