• 2012 Week#10 $50 Weekly Menu Plan

    2012 $50 Weekly Menu Week #10- A few weeks ago we mentioned that great deals on certain cuts of meats are generally available towards the end of February, well, this past weekend one of our favorite local stores sold T-bone steaks for $3.99 a pound. We picked up a few packs (about 20 pounds in all) to vacuum seal and freeze for later. March is National Frozen food month, so if you've been waiting for a chance to restock your freezer with frozen veggies, the time has arrived. In addition to meat,
    we took advantage of the great produce prices and grabbed some artisans lettuce, carrots, peppers, dried navy beans, milk, ricotta cheese, granny smith apples, cream cheese, cauliflower, spinach and a whole chicken.

    Monday 5th:
    • Breakfast: Pancakes (Folks, I had to, it's national Pancake week!)
    • Lunch: Egg drop Soup
    • Dinner: Rotisserie Chicken

    Tuesday 6th:


    Wednesday 7th


    Thursday 8th:
    • Breakfast: Onion Bagels & cream Cheese
    • Lunch:
      Leftover Quiche
    • Dinner: Spinach Stuffed Shells, Salad

    Friday 9th:

    • Breakfast: Poached Eggs on Toast
    • Lunch: Leftover Shells
    • Dinner: Grilled Steak, au gratin potatoes, salad

    Saturday 10th:


    Sunday 11th:


    Various Snacks:


    Drinks included:
    * Iced Tea (Sweet Tea)
    * Coffee
    * Lemonade
    * Copycat Gatorade
    * CopyCat Arizona Green Tea

    Total Spent
    this week $103. , Luckily, we've underspent 9 of the last 10 weeks and had any additional $30 still within the budget to use. The remaining $23 or so will come off the upcoming weeks grocery budgets.
