As we've mentioned, in order to plan meals properly, you need to know what you have on hand in your pantry, fridge and freezer. Without having any knowledge what-so-ever of what these folks have on hand, here is a weekly menu plan to help get them started!

In all seriousness, if I lived in this zipcode, I would more than likely switch to Bi-weekly Menu planning, with a once a month trip to purchase meat in bulk at Sam's Club (which unfortunately is 90 miles away). It would be worth it to get together with a couple friends and split cases of meat, or even alternate shopping trips for meat. That way all you're picking up during your grocery trips is fresh produce & dairy.
If you haven't already, you can talk to the Manager in the meat department at Walmart/Smiths/Davis to find out if they offer special pricing for bulk meat purchases.

As far as produce goes, have you checked into the SEED community garden that is available in Vernal? You have the opportunity to get your own portion of the garden.
Also, you may be able to find weekly deals at the Ashley Valley Farmers Market that is in town.
In addition, there are 3 wholesale grocers in this particular area:
- Lowe's Produce Farm Fresh Delivery 435-722-4946
- Meadow Gold Dairies 435-789-2121
It may be worthwhile to contact them to find out if they have any deals on meat or produce available.
Btw- this Saturday is Vernal's Annual Free Community Breakfast at the Vernal Fire Station.
