• 2012 $50 Weekly Menu Week #25

2012 $50 Weekly Menu Week #25- Summer menu planning has its ups and downs- with seemingly ravenous teens we vamped up the menu and doubled the amount of fruits and veggies and added a few more snack items . . .

Cutting the grocery budget is relatively easy during the summer months when fresh veggies are in abundance. The garden is overproducing zucchini, summer squash, green peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers, jalapeno peppers and eggplant.
We picked up a few basic items which included lettuce,

Our own garden is producing cucumbers, zucchini, summer squash, fresh tomatoes, jalapeno peppers, and eggplant.

For those that are just joining our weekly menus, we do raise our own chickens (for fresh eggs) and get about a dozen per day- So if you're noticing a large number of eggs in our menu, that's why!
