SapphireMama: “i am in West Fargo nd 58078 i’ve been trying to do menu planning for a bit now and could use some advice theres a super target a hornbachers, sunmart , cashwise, and a walmart ( that i NEVER go to o.o ) i have some pretty picky eater in my house one only like poultry and the other seafood and pork. i mainly eat fruits and veges i know i can get our food cost low with planning and timing even if i only have half a pantry any advice and help would be AMAZING btw Love the book”

This one is a little tricky because their flyer promotes a lot of B1G1 deals- however, without having visited the store, we cannot see whether the prices are decent to begin with!

If you purchase the majority of your meat for the month during one week’s shopping trip, you have alot more money to play with during the remaining weeks for fresh fruits and veggies that are in season.

Breakfast Ideas:
Cereal (based on the store deal listed above)
Peaches & Cream Oatmeal
Bagels
Quickie Pancakes (maybe with blueberries or peaches/cinnamon)
Fruit & Yogurt Parfaits (made with berries) or peaches
Copycat Cinnabon Cinnamon Rolls
Blueberry Ginger Smoothies

Lunch & Dinner Ideas:

Louisiana Style Cajun Pork Roast, Garlic Roasted Potatoes, Salad (use leftovers next day in wraps or in cajun BBQ pulled pork Sandwiches)
Grilled Chicken Pesto Pizza
Crab Leg Sandwiches (using the imitation seafood legs)
Italian Chicken Saute (over egg noodles), garlic parmesan Swirl Biscuits
Honey Dijon Marinated Chicken, steamed veggie, salad
Cowboy Pork Chopsover Rice, spinach (from frozen veggies)
Grilled Pesto Chicken Kebabs (again save the leftovers for Wraps with lettuce & Tomato the next day)
Broccoli Garlic Penne (using frozen Broccoli)

For the Cajun roast use a nice large chunk of Pork butt – at only $1.58 per pound, this will make nice roasts & pulled pork sandwiches!

Snacks & Desserts– if you took advantage of those free carrots using the store coupon, you could make Carrot Cake or alter the recipe slightly and make carrot cake muffins.
