Keep in mind with the shopping list above that this is NOT how we intend the $50 weekly menu plans to work. The menu’s work best if you follow the monthly sales cycles and follow the guidelines in our eBook when purchasing meat and restocking the pantry. Had this member purchased meats and pantry items ahead of time, this majority of this weeks menu plan would have focuses on fruits and veggies.

Filled with an insatiable wanderlust to see the world, I've dedicated most of my life to saving money where I can so I can afford to see and do the things I want. I dug our family out of debt by reducing our grocery expense to less than $300 a month. You can too!

  1. The great thing about Wegmans is that they have a list of items that will stay the same price until the end of 2012 for example the boneless chicken breast and spagetti sauce. They will change the list again in January and it is based on the items that families are buying the most.

Tops is nice because you earn gas points on groceries- at $50 a week that is 20 cents off a gallon per month. I am all about saving…I use both Tops and Wegmans (I live in the Ithaca area).
