2/3 cup white sugar
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
2 cups heavy cream
1 cup milk
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 1/2 Quart Casserole dish or Deep Dish Pie plate
Preheat the oven to 350 F
To start, place sugar in a small saucepan and heat it over medium heat, shaking and swirling
Pour the caramelized sugar into a casserole dish and swirl around to coat the (bottom!) of the dish evenly.
Set aside, combine the sweetened condensed milk, cream, milk, eggs and vanilla in a stand mixer or blender and blend for 1 minute. Pour the mixture over the sugar. Carefully place the dish in a larger pan and add 1 inch of HOT water to
Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until set.
Tips- be sure the oven is HOT before you put your flan in! If you prefer you can use individual serving size ramekins instead of 1 large casserole dish.
