1/3 c. Soy Sauce
1/2 c. Olive Oil
1/3 c. lemon Juice
1/4 c. Worcesterchire Sauce
1 1/2 Tbs of Garlic POWDER (Note, NOT Garlic Salt!!)
3 Tbs Dried Basil or 1 Tbs fresh chopped basil
1 1/2 tbs Dried Parsley or 2 tsp fresh chopped parsley
1/2 tsp black pepper
Combine all ingredients in a blender and puree for 30 seconds. Place steaks in a ziplock bag and add the marinade. Marinate the meat 3-12 hours and then grill to your desired level of doneness.
If you want a perfect steak every time, remember these easy tips:
- Never Flip a steak more than ONCE.
- Do NOT press down on the steak (or a burger for that matter!) with a spatula. This causes all the juice to run out and makes the meat dry and tasteless.
- Let the steaks rest 5-7 minutes once they've been taken off the grill. This allows the juices to run back into the meat, making it juicy, flavorful and tender.
This marinade really brings out the flavor of the meat and makes tough, cheaper cuts of meat very tasty!
