    Ham, of course, is always on sale the end of March and beginning of April as Easter nears. It's a great time to stock up, particularly a couple days After the holiday as the ham prices often drop to less than $1 a pound.

    This week we purchased the following: raspberries, blueberries, celery, lettuce, spinach, ham, green peppers, yogurt,
    cream cheese, cheddar cheese, zucchini, summer squash, dried beans, cauliflower, pears, bananas, grapes, carrots

    Total spent this week on groceries: $54.88

    From our Backyard: Fresh Eggs (up to about 12 a day)

    From our Windowsill/ Garden: a few fresh herbs in the windowsill- cilantro, basil, parsley and rosemary
