Cooling Watermelon Lime Spritzers.. and an adult version

To add a splash of color, be sure to top off your beverage with a couple of fresh blueberries, a twist of lime and some tasty watermelon stars. (The trick to cutting these is to cut thin slices of watermelon and use cookie cutters to make perfect sweet watermelon stars!).
    For the Beverage you'll need:

    5 cups seedless watermelon, cubed
3 cups lemon-lime soda such as Sprite or flavored carbonated water
    1 cup Fresh blueberries
1/2 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
    lime slices, garnish

    To add a Kick:
1/2 cup vodka, rum or tequila, optional

In a blender puree the watermelon and lime juice together until smooth. Strain into a pitcher to remove any pulp, then add blueberries. Refrigerate about an hour to allow the flavors of the blueberries to be drawn into the lime and watermelon, marrying the flavors.

Stir in liquor (if using) then add the Soda. Serve over Ice and garnish with watermelon stars for a delicious libation!
