Campfire Pig Greens is a melt in your mouth 3 ingredient recipe that costs less than $1 per serving!
Once you try it, it’ll become a campfire favorite for your family as well!
You’ll Need:
1 Large Head of cabbage
1/2 Pound of bacon
4 Pats of Butter
Dash of S&P
4 Large Pieces of Tin Foil
Wash & Quarter the cabbage. Wrap each quarter in several slices of bacon. Add a pat of butter, sprinkle lightly with a dash of salt and pepper. Seal the Foil TIGHTLY. Repeat for all for quarters.
This recipe has AMAZING flavor and is absolutely delicious on as a meal on it’s own. To be honest, I am notoriously impatient – so I actually cut each quarter into 2 pieces so it will cook faster!
Place over indirect heat (campfire!) for an hour and a half. You can turn these every 25 minutes if you like, but make absolutely sure that they are sealed Very Tightly if you intend to turn them or they will leak and you’ll have an unintended bonfire!
These can also be baked in the oven on a cookie sheet at 375F for 1 hr 45 minutes.
