S’mores are one of America’s most favored summertime treats, but they aren’t just for camping! Here’s a delectable Smore’s Cookie Bar that couples crunchy graham crackers, chewy chocolate chip cookies, marshmallows and Hershey’s chocolate in a scrumptious dessert bar.

This treat was created on accident . . . allow me to explain. I happened to be chatting away on the phone, ranting on about the recent GMO/Monsanto nightmare that plagues our food supply, and had just measured a cup of sugar to dump into the mixer for a recipe… except that I didn’t dump it into the mixing bowl, I dumped it into the container of Flour instead. Rather than throw it all out, I measured it cupful by cupful until I determined there had been about 9 cups of flour to my 1 cup of sugar. So.. I did what any self respecting fool would do, I made 4 batches of chocolate chip cookie dough out of it all.

You’ll Need:
1 1/2 Sleeves Whole Graham Crackers
1 hershey Bar
1/3 c. Mini Marshmallows
1/2 batch of your favorite Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough

Preheat the oven to 375°F

Layer the bottom of an 11″x17″ baking dish with graham crackers. In a medium bowl combine the cookie dough and mini marshmallows, mixing well. Place a scoop of cookie dough in the middle of each graham cracker.

Bake for 12-17 minutes, or until cookies are golden brown. Remove from oven, let rest about 3 minutes, then place a square of hersheys chocolate in the center of each S’more bar.

If you don’t have a favorite Cookie Dough you can use ours:

2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 large eggs
2 cups (12-oz. pkg.) Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels

Combine butter and sugars together until smooth, add vanilla and eggs,blending well. Add flour baking soda and salt and mix until smooth. Add Chocolate chips. Divide the dough in half, freeze half, use the other half in the recipe above.
