Hi my name is Sonnet and live in Kentucky. We are a family of four on a very tight budget (like the rest of the world). We have recently had issues with health insurance and are now paying way more for insurance than before so I am looking for ways to cut down our food budget.

We started raising chickens this year so now I don’t have to buy eggs!! Not really any savings but it sure is satisfying eating fresh eggs. I also started a small garden this year. Won’t produce enough to can or freeze but I am hoping next year.
